Here are some steps you can take to install a solar panel:

1. Mount Installation:

 Firstly to support your solar panels, you have to install mounts. Mounts are base structures that provide sturdiness and support to the solar panels. They can be of any type. You may be roof-ground mounts or flush mounts. You have to position them based on the direction of the PV panels. The most effective position of the solar panels in the north is south and vice versa. 

The position of the mount should be at an angle of 18 to 36 degrees. It should have a bit of tilt. To increase conversation efficiency, companies use trackers. 

Types of mounts:

There are three types of braces for installing solar panels:

Pole

Roof-ground

Flush

You can install solar panels on an RV, rooftops, or against a pole side with these mounts. 

2. Solar Panel Installation:

You fix the solar panels with the mounts. Install the solar panel by tightening the bolts and nuts. You have to make sure that it is sturdy and steady. It should be long-lasting.

3. Electrical Wiring:

People use connectors like MC4 for the wiring of solar panels. They are attachable to almost all types of solar panels.  Solar panels connect in the following series:

Series connection: 

The positive module of PV connects to the negative wire of the other module. This type of relationship increases the voltage with a battery bank.

 Parallel Connection:

The positive connects to positive and negative connects to negative parts of the module. The voltage remains the same in the panel.

4. Connecting to Solar Inverter:

Connect the positive wire of the solar panel to the positive terminal of the inverter and vice versa. After that, you connect the solar panel to the battery and the grid. 

5. Connect the inverter to the battery:

Connect the positive side of the battery to the inverter's positive side and vice versa, the battery stores backup energy for the off-grid system.

6. Connect the inverter to the grid:

You use a plug and connect it to the power source to make this connection. You connect the output wire to the electric board, and it provides power to the entire building. 

7. Start the solar inverter:

Now all that is left is to turn on the inverter. You have to turn on the power of the building, and the inverter will provide the electricity. These solar panels consist of a digital display system. This system shows you the statistics and usage of the inverter.


Where should you install the solar panels?

You have to install the solar panels on a surface that provides a sufficient amount of sunlight. For this purpose, people install solar panels on rooftops most of the time. 

Solar panels work best under direct sunlight. Try to position them directly in front of the noontime sun. It will increase their efficiency.

Make sure to keep the area clear so that the sunlight directly falls on the solar panels. Take out branches or any other objects that may cast a shadow on the solar panels. These obstructions can cause a decrease in the efficiency of the inverter.
